<span style="color: black;">I love this man of mine! We spent this evening at my grandparent's house playing cards with the family. It was totally fun. BUT, driving home in our truck blaring some awesome tunes was possibly the best part of the evening for me. It reminded me of when we were dating...driving without kids and totally rocking out to our favorite music. We listened to </span><b style="color: black;">Collective Soul</b><span style="color: black;"> (our favorite band), country artists (a lot of </span><b style="color: black;">Gary Allan</b><span style="color: black;">--LOVE), some </span><b style="color: black;">Chicago</b><span style="color: black;"> (totally cheesy but fun to sing your heart out to), and hello, a little </span><b style="color: black;">Beyonce</b> (it was mostly me rocking out to her...). Gosh, it was so fun. Love driving in our truck, holding hands and singing our favorite songs. I could do that over and over again. I love that we love the same music, love spending time with each other, and love to be silly. Doesn't get better than that.Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-45470278121850145442012-04-30T03:35:00.000-07:002012-04-30T03:43:55.108-07:00A little fishing buddy<div style="color: black;">
I remember before Grayson was born and even when he was still just a baby, Garrett would talk about how he wished Grayson would grow up liking the things that he liked to do...hunting, fishing, etc. WELL, I'm pretty sure Garrett has nothing to worry about! Not only does Grayson talk about shooting things all the time, but the kid LOVES to fish! It's amazing to me how much time he can spend fishing with Garrett and not be bored of it. Last summer when Grayson was two and a half, we took a fishing trip as a family where we ended up being at the lake for about 4 hours fishing, and Grayson totally loved it. Wasn't bored at all.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
Just this last Friday, Grayson got to go on another morning long fishing trip with his dad, uncle and grandpa. My father-in-law started talking to him about this fishing trip in the middle of the week, and Grayson was SO excited to go!</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
When Friday morning came, he was ready to go! Grayson woke us up around 8. He wanted help getting dressed, so Garrett helped him while I made some strawberry muffins to send with them on the road. Garrett helped Grayson get his fishing pole and tackle box all ready to go. He could hardly wait for Grandpa and Bryan to show up so that they could leave.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
Before they left for the morning, I had to snap a picture of him--all ready to go. </div>

I think for now...Garrett has nothing to worry about. I hope this is something that they can do together for years to come. Right now, Garrett has got himself the cutest little fishing buddy.</div>Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-70814146823608685972012-04-30T03:15:00.003-07:002012-04-30T03:43:34.369-07:00Prayers<div style="color: black; text-align: center;">
About a week ago, I sat down with Grayson for dinner and helped him say the prayer to bless the food. In every prayer, we always go through a list that we are thankful for. Usually I will prompt Grayson by saying, <span style="font-size: large;"><b>"What are you thankful for?"</b></span>, and he will then provide a list. After he says each thing, though, he expects me to repeat after him. </div>
<div style="color: black; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black; text-align: center;">
On this particular night I, like usual, asked him what he was thankful for. I don't remember the first thing he was thankful for, but the second thing that came out of his mouth was....<span style="font-size: large;"><b>"My penis."</b></span> I started giggling and tried to brush past it without repeating it after him by saying something like, "Uh-huh, and what else?" Apparently this response wouldn't do because he paused, looked at me and repeated, "My penis!" I couldn't get myself to repeat his words in a prayer...plus, I was giggling too much to keep praying anyway. I don't remember what I said to make him move on but he eventually did. <b><span style="font-size: large;">CRACKED me up!</span></b> </div>
<div style="color: black; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black; text-align: center;">
I guess it's a good thing to be thankful for???</div>Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-66269480882346991672012-04-16T03:59:00.004-07:002012-04-16T04:02:30.342-07:00Saturday Activities<div style="color: black;">
Yesterday was Saturday--a very productive Saturday. I worked on Friday night, so I planned to sleep until about noon or one. We actually woke up to a phone call from my brother in law informing us that he was a few minutes away--bringing us a dog kennel/dog run and a chicken coop. Garrett got up and went outside to help unload all of the stuff, and I continued to sleep. I finally got up around noon because the house was just kind of loud. The kids were laughing/crying and it just wasn't helping me sleep. </div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
I got up and went downstairs to eat some breakfast. Garrett and Grayson left to go get some gas for the lawn mower, then went to IFA to get some lawn fertilizer. When they came home, I left with the dog to go running. I went on the most beautiful run. I ran the Salem Canal Road all the way into Payson. It is such a pretty, quiet road. I really enjoyed it. When I got into Payson, I ran around the hospital, and then turned toward home and ran the highway home. It turned out to be a 6.5 mile run, and I felt fabulous the whole way. I love those running days--the ones where you just feel good. The weather was perfect also. It was overcast, and there was some sprinkling rain here and there--perfect. </div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
When we got home, I gave Hank a bone and he happily chewed his bone on the front lawn for several hours while Garrett, Grayson and I worked in the yard. While I was out running, Garrett mowed and fertilized the lawn. I helped him mow another portion of the lawn once I was home, and Garrett began to trim some trees in the backyard. He trimmed quite a bit, and I must say that they look really good. </div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
While we were doing this and that in the yard, Grayson took it upon himself to unload the trailer that is parked by our garage all by himself. I guess he figured that he needed to do some work also.</div>
<br />

<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
Garrett worked so hard in the yard on Saturday and I appreciate it so much. He spent a solid 6 hours working in the yard. At the end of the day, both of us sat back and enjoyed the yard. It looked beautiful. I really love our house... </div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
In the midst of the yard work, my dad came down to bring us some DELICIOUS olive oil and balsamic vinegar that he got from this place in Salt Lake. Oh my gosh. So good.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
I had to go to the store to pick up a few things for dinner, so my dad came along to help with the kids. I got stuff to make some home made hamburgers--some meat, buns, chips and salad stuff. My dad left to go home from the store, and I went home to get dinner started. While Garrett grilled the hamburger patties, I made a green salad with veggies and strawberries. I topped it with a dressing made from the oil and vinegar my dad brought down. It was divine. The hamburgers were divine too. There is something about eating a home grilled hamburger after a day of yard work. Tastes so yummy--especially with all of the deliciousness that Garrett puts into the meat. Yum.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
After dinner we gave the kids a bath and put them to bed. They were totally hashed. Once they were asleep, we helped ourselves to a diet coke and settled down for a movie. Aaah, such a good day.</div>

<span style="color: black;">It's been a LONG time since I have made home made play dough--probably
since I was a little kid making it for myself. I decided that I would
make some with the kids the other day... It was rainy out, so we
couldn't get outside to play and get some energy out. Instead, we ran to
the store and picked up a couple of ingredients that I didn't have
(some cream of tartar and more salt) and came home to make play dough. </span>Grayson<span style="color: black;">
helped me stir the play dough on the stove, and Bella squawked most of
the time because she wanted to be doing everything </span>Grayson<span style="color: black;"> was. </span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: small;">The Saturday before Easter my family came down to my house to have an Easter egg hunt--thanks to my mom for donating all of the candy :). The kids had a blast playing and collecting candy/eggs, and the rest of the family just enjoyed spending time together. We cooked chicken on the grill and had a green salad, potato salad, chips and other yummy things--including some adorable Easter cupcakes that I made (I'm a little bit proud of them!).</span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;">Saturday was a long, fun and productive day. Garrett and Grayson slept until about 10:30. Bella and I, on the other hand, were up at 8:00. The girl loves food. When she wakes up she will play happily until you ask her if she is hungry. If you ask her if she is hungry and don't pick her up immediately to take her downstairs to eat, she throws a major fit. I made the mistake of asking her right away if she was hungry. It only took about 5 seconds before she threw herself back on the bed, back arched and screaming. She knows what she is doing I guess--I got right up to stop her crying. We went downstairs and made pancakes for the two of us. Soon Grayson got up and joined us downstairs, and then we all went upstairs to wake up Garrett.</span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;">We went outside and did some yard work. Garrett one of the trees out of our front yard. Neither of us have ever liked that particular tree. We both felt it was in an awkward place in the yard. While Garrett worked on the tree, I just sat on the porch and watched the kids enjoy the sun. They were loving the hose--mostly the water. They had their little bowls that they were filling up with water. Getting soaked. They were playing with Hank and loving it. Bella was into Hanks water--again, soaking herself. And, they were playing in the dirt. At the end of the day they were SO filthy. It made me smile. I thought, "A dirty kid is a happy one." Dirt on a child means time spent outside in warm weather. Doesn't get better than that. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;">I was also walking around the yard doing this and that. I walked around back to look at the BEAUTIFUL apricot tree that is in bloom in our backyard. I can't get enough of it. The tree was literally humming--there were hundreds of bees buzzing around the blossoms. I also admired the tulips coming up in my flower beds. Ahhh, so excited for spring!</span><br />

<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;">After we finished our business in the yard, Bryan and Shae came over and we BBQ'd some bratwurst. Yum. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine while it lasted. </span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Once they left, we hopped in the car to go clothes shopping for the kids. Grayson desperately needed a new pair of church pants. The ones he has been wearing are total floods. They come above his ankles. They are 3T's, but way too short. We went to The Children's Place (LOVE that store!!!) and got some seriously cute stuff for both Grayson and Bella. We ended up getting Grayson church pants that were 4T's. They fit perfectly. I'm convinced that the kid is going to be huge. Tall, I mean. We also stopped by Old Navy to get some summer flip flops. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;">When we got home, the kids went right into the bathtub (SERIOUSLY dirty), ate some dinner and went straight to bed. I think we were all pooped really. Garrett and I watched the new Footloose--I loved it--and finally went to bed. It was a long day, but so fun. Really, the whole weekend was awesome. I love my little family.</span></div>Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-7899265084304731012012-03-27T21:46:00.003-07:002012-03-27T21:50:30.995-07:00Date Night<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Friday night was date night. I worked Thursday night and the girls and I talked about doing a group date with our husbands. When I got up, I talked to Garrett about it and we decided that we would get a babysitter and go. So glad we did.</span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Garrett's dad came over to watch the kids and brought them kids meals from Wendy's. They were excited. We left and met the rest of the group at the movie theater in American Fork. We had all decided that we wanted to go see The Hunger Games which came out that same weekend. The seating at that theater is all assigned seating, so we had bought six seats that were all together so we could sit with each other. When we walked into the theater to find our seats, there were only 4 open seats. My friends husband asked the people who were sitting in our seats whether they were in the right seats. They insisted that they had tickets for those seats. I didn't want to make a big deal of it, so I told everyone to just go sit down there and Garrett and I would find different seats. The theater was pretty much packed at this point. We found two seats next to each other and sat down. About 2 minutes later, a couple walked in and told us that they were in their seats. SO, we got up and found another two seats that were next to each other. About 2 minutes later another couple walked in and claimed their seats. I was starting to feel a little silly walking all around the theater--I'm sure other people thought that we were just stealing other people's seats. It was awesome. We finally walked back up to our original seats to talk to the people that were sitting in them. As it turns out, their seats were originally split up--one on the end of the row and one in the middle of the row. I guess they didn't think they needed to tell us that--they just claimed the seats instead. It turns out that all we needed to do was ask everyone to move down a seat (to the empty seat that was actually one of theirs) so that we could all sit together. I couldn't believe that they watched us walk around the whole theater looking for a seat and failed to mention that they really were in our seats. Kinda rude. They were irritated that we asked them to move down a seat. I was lucky enough to sit by them and hear them grumble.</span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Besides all of that, the movie was great. I think I liked it even more than the book.</span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;">After the movie, we went to Red Mango and just hung out and talked for about 2 hours. It was SO fun! It was nice having our husbands with us. Usually when the girls from work get together it's just for a girls night. I love girls night too, but it was nice to have a date night. That way I was able to spend the night with Garrett while still being able to feel like I got a girls night in. So fun.</span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;">We ended up getting home close to midnight, so it was a pretty late night. Grayson was still awake--apparently he kept telling grandpa that he wanted to wait for us to get home. He was so trashed. He gave me a nice big hug when I walked into the door, and we went straight upstairs to bed.</span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: small;">I love me a good date night. </span></div>

The other day I went to Wal-Mart with the kids to pick up a few things. I told Grayson that he could pick out a toy for himself (some cheap $2 toy). He was choosing between a car and a Lightening McQueen cell phone. He ended up picking the cell phone.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
Today, he brought up the car that he left behind at the store. He was trying to bargain with me to go back to the store and get it. I kept telling him no until he got the point. </div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
Later, my father-in-law came over so I could leave to work without having to drop the kids off to Garrett in Provo. As I was rushing trying to get my things together, I overheard Grayson saying to Chad, </div>
<div style="color: black;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: black; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">"Mom said no!...Mommy doesn't like me."</span></div>
<div style="color: black; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: black;">Nice. I'm pretty sure he was talking about the car. He sure takes things to the extreme sometimes :). Good thing I love him like crazy. </span></div>Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-38836865535201286222012-03-22T04:33:00.004-07:002012-03-22T04:33:25.443-07:00Park Day<div style="color: black;">
It was such a beautiful day today! I am really loving this weather! I love days where you could be comfortable wearing a light jacket outside, but could be comfortable just in short sleeves. </div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
Because it was so nice out, I decided to
take the kids to the pond to feed the ducks and play on the playground.
I took Hank too which ended up being a bad decision. He makes me so
ornery. He was pulling me and the stroller the whole way despite me
jerking back on his leash, telling him "no", and yelling at him on a few
occasions. I swear, I should not be a dog owner. Some days I like him
and other days I really despise him. Today, I despised him. </div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">The
kids loved the outing though. Grayson fed the ducks--Bella even
attempted to throw a few pieces of bread in the water also. Her bread
pieces mostly fell at my feet, but she did try. They ran around, fed
ducks and played on the playground. All the while, Hank moaned and
whined that he wasn't right next to us the whole time (I had him
tethered up to a metal post with his leash while I played with the kids
and yelled at him a few times when he was attempting to chew through his
leash--we've already gone through two leashes...). Oh the joys...
Anyway, I think we could all get used to a little more weather like
this!</span><div style="color: black;">

It was so fun. A little leprechaun came to our house and left footprints from our bedrooms to our kitchen table where a little treat and some lucky charms were waiting for them. Grayson loved it. When he got up and saw the footprints for the first time, he just looked at them and said, "Hmmm". Then he got more excited as I was telling him what they were all about. Garrett actually got up an hour earlier than us and made us some green pancakes. The kids loved it--and so did I.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Later that day we went to dinner at Los Hermanos with my dad and sisters family. We had so much fun, and Grayson loved seeing his cousins. I actually didn't know if we would be able to go because Bella was feeling a little bit sick that day--she just had a fever and wasn't that happy. She seemed to be feeling a little bit better, so we went and had a great time. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After we came home from dinner and put the kids to bed, Garrett and I watched "The Help". If you haven't seen that movie, watch it. I totally loved it. It is about racism in regards to black people--based probably in the 1940's-1950's. Such a powerful movie. I was totally bawling in the end. I was feeling so grateful for all of the freedoms that we enjoy today. The movie also reminded me how grateful I am for my role as a mother. The black women in the movie left their own children to be raised by someone else while they raised another persons white baby. I was feeling so grateful that I am able to be home with my kids for the most part and be able to experience their lives with them. I went and picked Bella up out of her bed and just snuggled/loved her for about 30 minutes before I put her back in her bed and went to sleep. </div>
<br />
Overall, a really great day. I loved spending time with my family.Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-34991448956048263642012-03-03T04:43:00.000-08:002012-03-03T04:43:14.590-08:00An Interesting View on Fruit Snacks<div style="color: black;">
I have been so busy the last couple of weeks. There has just been a lot going on. This past week has been especially busy. On Sunday, I took the kids to church by myself because Garrett drove to Idaho with a friend to help him with a favor. That turned out to be pretty miserable. Bella had just taken off walking, and it was definitely a full-time job trying to keep both her and Grayson in our row. It was actually impossible. We sat in our seats for about ten minutes, and during that time Bella ran off twice (and started screaming each time I went to pick her up), threw herself on the floor at least three times because she was mad about something and cried, and Grayson ran away once. After those ten minutes, we went out into the foyer and the kids were even crazy there. By the end, I found an empty classroom that the three of us sat in until sacrament meeting was over. THEN, Grayson threw a fit because he didn't want to go to his class, and Bella was fussing because she hadn't gotten a good nap before church. It was just stressful.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
After church, we went to my sisters house for the ordination of my nephew to a deacon. It was fun being there and visiting with family. Afterward, we went to see my grandpa who is in the hospital. He fell a couple of weeks ago and broke his hip. During surgery he suffered a few strokes also. It's been a long, tough recovery for him. It was nice to sit by his bedside and hold his had and listen to him tell stories. It made me feel so much love for my grandpa and so grateful for his influence in my life. I love that man.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
Monday night was really busy also. We had a long day and then headed up to my sister-in-law's house for my niece Hazel's second birthday. We had another fun night hanging out with the family and watching The Bachelor together. </div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: black;">
Tuesday and Wednesday nights I worked. It's now Saturday morning and I worked last night also. I had a busy night with four deliveries and four recoveries. I'm pretty much pooped.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">BUT, my favorite quote from the past week came from Grayson. It was last Saturday (a week ago from today). Garrett and I were upstairs with the kids getting them ready for bed. Grayson told me that he had to go to the bathroom, so I went in there with him to help him. He pooped just a little and peeked at it in the toilet. He looked at me with wide eyes and exclaimed,</span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"> </span><span style="font-size: large;"><b style="color: black;">"It's a fruit snack, Mom!"</b></span><span style="color: black;"> </span><span style="color: black; font-size: small;"> </span></div>
<br />
<span style="color: black; font-size: small;">I couldn't help laughing. I called Garrett into the bathroom and Grayson said the same thing to him, and Garrett started laughing too. We got him cleaned up from the bathroom and went into his room. He was being so goofy and just cracking us up. He was dancing and running around. He started saying over and over, "It looks like a fruit snack!" Eventually it turned into "It's like a Buzz Lightyear fruit snack!" That kid... He had me laughing so hard that night. I sure do love him. He keeps life interesting, that's for sure!</span>Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-15171622551036483342012-02-19T18:28:00.000-08:002012-02-19T18:29:30.857-08:00How to Keep Kids Happy in the Car<div style="color: black; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Yesterday, we went to the grocery store. The ride to the store was a
loud one. Both Grayson and Bella were either crying or screaming the
whole way. The way home? Quiet. This is why:</span> </div>

Today we took the kids and the dog over to Lakeshore to spend the afternoon by the lakeside. It was nice to get out of the house. Grayson <b><span style="font-size: large;">LOVED</span></b> running around with Hank, and Hank was loving the freedom of running without a leash. It was a bit cold but overall a lot of fun.</div>

The day was just too busy. Instead we celebrated on Thursday, the 16th. <br /><br />We woke up and made pink, heart shaped pancakes for breakfast. The rest of the afternoon was spent doing what we usually do--just hanging around the house playing with toys, going outside to play with Hank, taking naps, etc. After we woke up from naps, we all got in the car and went to Macey's to get a few things for dinner. I just planned to make some spaghetti with garlic bread and a green salad. After shopping, I got both of the kids a free balloon, and they loved it. <br /><br />We went home, made dinner, cut out hearts/valentines and waited for Garrett to get home. We decorated the table with hearts and candles. When Garrett got home, he brought some red and pink balloons to put on our chairs. I thought it turned out pretty cute.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ49OjodHlMLYAEWrvt5lDa1BdzvegpUxGlU-iekBYl1M4Tmh2hf4YoTqDt2gSrmCSV-lMn37v-UjARQqgYUydpi-dVBM7ShSmQGQ5o_ypHsY2Xda03wekCQ_CzHb_dzKXxpLt/s1600/424710_534667920914_187300159_30728513_2088525250_n.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 191px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ49OjodHlMLYAEWrvt5lDa1BdzvegpUxGlU-iekBYl1M4Tmh2hf4YoTqDt2gSrmCSV-lMn37v-UjARQqgYUydpi-dVBM7ShSmQGQ5o_ypHsY2Xda03wekCQ_CzHb_dzKXxpLt/s400/424710_534667920914_187300159_30728513_2088525250_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5710344795331929954" /></a><br /><br />The rest of the night was spent relaxing and spending time as a family. It was nice.Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-21785483588334009842012-02-15T02:06:00.000-08:002012-02-15T02:16:00.238-08:00Valentine's DayToday was Valentine's Day, and it was a busy day! I had to attend a newborn resuscitation re-certification class this morning, and the class started at nine. I got up at seven, showered and got ready, then woke the kids up to get them out of the door. I dropped them off at my sisters house at eight thirty and drove up to work. <br /><br />The class lasted for four hours. It was kind of long, but I was really grateful to be taking the course. We were just barely introduced to new NRP guidelines, so I'm grateful to be practicing and learning about them so I feel more comfortable with resuscitation.<br /><br />When I got out at one, I headed to Provo to meet up with my dad to get some things from him that I had to drop off to Garrett. I had to run into BYU to meet up with my dad, and then I drove to Garrett's work to see him. He surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of long stem red roses. They are so pretty!<br /><br />I saw him for about two minutes before I left to go and get the kids. I picked them up and drove home to put them down for a nap. I was home for about 2 hours before I had to get up and drive all the way back to work. <br /><br />It has been a long day. I'm hoping that I won't get called into work tomorrow. I would really like to stay home with the family and relax after our long weekend. Happy Valentine's Day to us!Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-61220197033909793812012-02-15T01:25:00.000-08:002012-02-15T01:27:26.918-08:00Letter to MomMy mom moved to Abu Dhabi in January to teach at one of their universities. The only communication I have had with her since is just by email. I got a Valentine's email from her today, and this was my response to her:<br /><br />Mom,<br /><br />Happy Valentine's Day to you also! How was your day? Probably busy with work, huh? My day was crazy. I got up early and took the kids to Liz's house and then drove to work for a 4 hour newborn resuscitation class. I got out at 1 and went to get some money to give to Garrett and then back to pick up the kids. We got home and were there for a couple of hours before I had to load up in the car again and come back to work. UGH. Hopefully I can just be home tomorrow.<br /><br />This weekend has been a little (more like major) stressful for us. Last week our furnace stopped working and we found out on Saturday that it had to be replaced. As you know, an expensive replacement. We finally figured out how we were going to pay for it, but we went almost a week without heat in the downstairs of our house (we have two furnaces--one for the downstairs, one for the upstairs). So that was not fun. Looking at the positive, we have a brand new (high efficiency) furnace that should last a long time and I know it is safe. Apparently the last one was actually pretty dangerous. He said it was a good thing that the sensors on the furnace still worked and turned the furnace off or there would most likely have been a fire. And, it's a lot quieter than our old furnace. I never like those unexpected expenses though.<br /><br />Anyway, I'm feeling better about it and I'm hoping this week will be a little better. One good thing that happened over the weekend is that we gave our t.v. room a face lift. I finally painted to cover up all of Grayson's artwork on the wall...something that really needed to be done. We got a new light fixture in there, crown molding up, new outlet covers and some new decor. I also moved all of the toys upstairs. It looks so much better! Don't know why I didn't do that before!<br /><br />I will read your little message to Grayson when I am home tomorrow. I'm sure he will love it. He talks about going swimming with you. He still remembers from last summer. I think he really loved that.<br /><br />Bella is walking more and more. She is hilarious and is getting very particular about everything. Her personality is really starting to come out. She continues to eat like a horse. I don't know where she puts all of that food--although, she is starting to get some chunky thighs and I'm loving it.<br /><br />How are you liking school? I know you said you are feeling a bit underwater still, but I hope that you are enjoying things overall. I think about you all the time and hope that you are happy there. I know it is a big adjustment, and I'm sure it will take some time before you are comfortable there.<br /><br />How are you liking the students and staff that you work with? Are you finding some people that you enjoy being around in and out of work?<br /><br />We miss you and hope all is well.<br /><br />Love you,<br /><br />ChristaChristahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-28937157797544566592012-02-09T04:34:00.000-08:002012-02-10T03:54:07.201-08:00A couple of Sundays ago Garrett and I watched the new LDS movie "17 Miracles". I loved it. It really made me realize how much I have to be grateful for. I am totally amazed at the strength of the pioneers. Being a mother, it made me so grateful that we have a home--so grateful that I can keep my children warm during cold nights. I cannot imagine having to bury my children (sometimes not even being able to bury them) along the trail and leave them behind. We have amazing ancestors who have done so much to bring the gospel to us. Makes me so grateful.<br /><br />After we finished the movie, Garrett wanted to go upstairs and get the kids out of bed to snuggle with them. When we got upstairs, Grayson was already in our bed asleep. We got into bed and snuggled with him for about 15 minutes. I enjoyed every minute of it. After I put Grayson to bed, I went and grabbed Bella to snuggle with her. She wasn't too happy about it, so I put her back to bed relatively quick. I love my children and am so grateful to have been blessed with them. <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFmUKVNP2IxxZhs8AqPetb49CcQLDwpb0KFdQoHtuss5GkdXWnezw09LlhOLHn4iBaVzai60jnzDGqCyA1pyGO1eY3voEC-bDS3fazieJAgN8SysPGH7Fg7B-gOvaEW2ozVIrM/s1600/421774_533299987264_187300159_30723772_1169696288_n.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFmUKVNP2IxxZhs8AqPetb49CcQLDwpb0KFdQoHtuss5GkdXWnezw09LlhOLHn4iBaVzai60jnzDGqCyA1pyGO1eY3voEC-bDS3fazieJAgN8SysPGH7Fg7B-gOvaEW2ozVIrM/s400/421774_533299987264_187300159_30723772_1169696288_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707116542424069906" /></a>Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-8436492791077649162012-02-09T01:31:00.001-08:002012-02-09T01:47:29.298-08:001500 Pinochole!!!I would say that Pinochole is one of my family's very favorite card games. Whenever there is a family get together, it usually involves a hand of Pinochole. So, on January 28th my family got together and my grandparents house to have a Pinochole night. My grandma prepared some spaghetti and treats and we all played games. Sarah, Susan, Liz and I played together on this particular night. Liz and I were almost tied with Sarah and Susan when I got dealt a pretty amazing hand. If you bid on a suit, take the bid and get every card in that suit, you win the game. A hand like that gives you 1500 point--which is the point value you play to in any game. Here is my beautiful hand and me showing how excited I was about it:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyW4CMiFoCi4M5AZqoLq1z_kdo_8SMNF7HJy3btl_cN272PLE0eVEmoj_q6uRyRRFaFQ03dBsZXMHL3_PDYl3YfL7HX5r6UnQKeLGkJZ3Fy_YXpHq17cRwlwJmRUPJK6xoWMd4/s1600/family+pictures+028.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 224px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyW4CMiFoCi4M5AZqoLq1z_kdo_8SMNF7HJy3btl_cN272PLE0eVEmoj_q6uRyRRFaFQ03dBsZXMHL3_PDYl3YfL7HX5r6UnQKeLGkJZ3Fy_YXpHq17cRwlwJmRUPJK6xoWMd4/s400/family+pictures+028.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707069121594951970" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSr8OJajiAnkHB7IUPwVdOqNFj1oIPrlnqC8q-CA0cXzCy_d48o6UFfAyOfIsNBY6nAWVZSJGWAH3nG6-RPGmRMoycSnkApT8jqDT_PhbzAoYjoFtsslbJ-uLt8k1VlERMfBKV/s1600/family+pictures+033.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 224px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSr8OJajiAnkHB7IUPwVdOqNFj1oIPrlnqC8q-CA0cXzCy_d48o6UFfAyOfIsNBY6nAWVZSJGWAH3nG6-RPGmRMoycSnkApT8jqDT_PhbzAoYjoFtsslbJ-uLt8k1VlERMfBKV/s400/family+pictures+033.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707069111422379714" /></a><br /><br />Gotta appreciate a hand like that. I can't believe that my baby girl is already one! It really feels like she was born just yesterday. We love her so much! She is such an active happy baby. These are the things that she loves:<br />1) The girl LOVES to eat! She eats at least twice as much as Grayson (if not more). It's a wonder that she's still so small!6)<br />2) She loves to play with her stacking toy. Grayson tries to help her stack the right rings on top of one another, and this makes her mad. She is determined to do it by herself.<br />3) She is taking steps! She will be walking in no time! <br />4) She still loves her binky and blanket. These things are required for naps and bedtime!<br />5) Bella does not like to snuggle in bed with me. She will lay beside me for a few minutes before she is done with it. She prefers being in her crib over being in bed with me. <br />6) She loves to give kisses.<br />7) She loves to be chased by daddy. She thinks it's really funny.<br />8) She is DEFINITELY a momma's girl.<br /><br />Her birthday was pretty laid back. My dad and a couple of my sisters came over with their kids, and we just ate cake and ice cream. Everyone hung out for about an hour and a half before people went home.<br /><br />Here are my favorite pictures from the night. Bella really enjoyed her cake.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI7A11qbzyXQ-IfyJF1EfcIFc3OT_j61Q_oxZwG98y03Vwnwu-amK7dqo8eDPJrLoaUSS7_RSFNWCC_PlPFngbyi-BEn7Uefkue06ccqPlVcHBghkFOEefSqPcZmBt5eD4nUpT/s1600/family+pictures+023.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI7A11qbzyXQ-IfyJF1EfcIFc3OT_j61Q_oxZwG98y03Vwnwu-amK7dqo8eDPJrLoaUSS7_RSFNWCC_PlPFngbyi-BEn7Uefkue06ccqPlVcHBghkFOEefSqPcZmBt5eD4nUpT/s400/family+pictures+023.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707064092767554082" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEQcO0sq_yOnqI_nc_QxY0qy8XxXA5634t88MAiDmLdxmlz161XA2Fx3a-Hz65Ubr7ipGdBzMbCh0RIoso3mLXZ5T_sda40mzFa_WijOm8vf8udBBhJi7aSPzJbCUVZ_8UWABe/s1600/family+pictures+022.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEQcO0sq_yOnqI_nc_QxY0qy8XxXA5634t88MAiDmLdxmlz161XA2Fx3a-Hz65Ubr7ipGdBzMbCh0RIoso3mLXZ5T_sda40mzFa_WijOm8vf8udBBhJi7aSPzJbCUVZ_8UWABe/s400/family+pictures+022.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707064086421497586" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdINAieFbBkregFeQKt6wBGVWwZfy6XtyjM4uQDZIkU72ldFKX-SxSlcpQWDDD_zzU2x4D-pgEafOt_qO2ixH8IAw4UfrRh5bjB8Mcv92fwC96xwHCBa6FVH-CYEmXNRQ7yB9b/s1600/family+pictures+021.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdINAieFbBkregFeQKt6wBGVWwZfy6XtyjM4uQDZIkU72ldFKX-SxSlcpQWDDD_zzU2x4D-pgEafOt_qO2ixH8IAw4UfrRh5bjB8Mcv92fwC96xwHCBa6FVH-CYEmXNRQ7yB9b/s400/family+pictures+021.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707064082688729778" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaikLz3n4AP9saiA7YSo0RseBnhoIq9GPVFsg9t59dr6BNsh9iG_rDkpTDcI3FyNZaUWdpAey76Nvr-H-ADJrtCQ_RfKnl3FCQ9zLdkg_q8dNrW3EKzam023kgUl71kIGz9WUq/s1600/family+pictures+020.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaikLz3n4AP9saiA7YSo0RseBnhoIq9GPVFsg9t59dr6BNsh9iG_rDkpTDcI3FyNZaUWdpAey76Nvr-H-ADJrtCQ_RfKnl3FCQ9zLdkg_q8dNrW3EKzam023kgUl71kIGz9WUq/s400/family+pictures+020.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707064063938404786" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOpGyIyvJheNMyC5Hp0IjSKvu5-gE0zlxRj7vDm7HqH9G1Qih0gAaeswnvuxevmgdrC2DNkConF9ud-_5CwO8950YOYKYWpTWMYeHoWcGmcHSn37efRaHz2oOQrUbw3EFLtKIC/s1600/family+pictures+011.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 224px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOpGyIyvJheNMyC5Hp0IjSKvu5-gE0zlxRj7vDm7HqH9G1Qih0gAaeswnvuxevmgdrC2DNkConF9ud-_5CwO8950YOYKYWpTWMYeHoWcGmcHSn37efRaHz2oOQrUbw3EFLtKIC/s400/family+pictures+011.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707064058344965538" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9AlwIO5Pwb1lHRJMMoRP9T8Oro9RSgO7L8hAI7jGhBTC8nC0A2dumhnjho3kC7NRmM5dCbXt66M9ROr4AUKKMAQhwY9FillnUC5mv8ZuADxQUYJvTQ90BlsB7f-0JW4gQlvOu/s1600/family+pictures+025.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9AlwIO5Pwb1lHRJMMoRP9T8Oro9RSgO7L8hAI7jGhBTC8nC0A2dumhnjho3kC7NRmM5dCbXt66M9ROr4AUKKMAQhwY9FillnUC5mv8ZuADxQUYJvTQ90BlsB7f-0JW4gQlvOu/s400/family+pictures+025.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707064456777780834" /></a><br /><br />Happy birthday baby girl!Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-11700409886313885252012-01-26T02:31:00.001-08:002012-01-26T02:57:27.229-08:00Wow, it has been a busy week! I don't even feel like I can remember all that has happened, but it has been busy. A lot of work and taking care of kids. Last Saturday night, Garrett and I managed to get away for a couple of hours to go listen to my dad play. He played a concert at BYU with other musicians, and I loved it. I was so grateful to be able to go. I've been telling myself that I need to go and see him perform more often. I really enjoy it when I do. After the concert, we got Cafe Rio and went home. <br /><br />Grayson was still awake when we got home, so we took him upstairs and got him ready for bed. He wanted to wear one of my t-shirts to bed. He was dancing around in my shirt for a while before he finally came over to me and plopped down in my lap. He looked up at me and said, "Mom, I'm pretty." I agreed with him.<br /><br />Grayson totally cracked me up today. We were getting ready to take a nap in my bed (he always takes his nap in my bed--he loves it, and I love it too) when he decided that he wanted to sleep with FOUR of his cars. He was very particular about which cars he would sleep with. It made me smile.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifqE_5WbhdRIId52lGHCTaRRjAT0ds9qfcDfg-R6QEvfFjMFgNQII7bF5xuy7t4fyTjwpBBQxL8BZMEM9JShqkxOl4mehBPtCugU4Jp0KQUEDxu9Wbi-o0e6R3O89YEbdCl6D9/s1600/029.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 224px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifqE_5WbhdRIId52lGHCTaRRjAT0ds9qfcDfg-R6QEvfFjMFgNQII7bF5xuy7t4fyTjwpBBQxL8BZMEM9JShqkxOl4mehBPtCugU4Jp0KQUEDxu9Wbi-o0e6R3O89YEbdCl6D9/s400/029.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5701891103314967522" /></a><br /><br />And Bella is just so stinkin' cute when she sleeps!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPvjemdKA0uP-gSJjpo5ieepPAklrpKsitKLiVBVA5z2kVHfX6CWUi62YJS5JWHf2ucAGdTUTLvC3y8HRs_gfkb5GxsuJZxUfhzFAQc42ooNRXpFwsBrzV-4wSUN3Qo2lAybiH/s1600/031.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 224px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPvjemdKA0uP-gSJjpo5ieepPAklrpKsitKLiVBVA5z2kVHfX6CWUi62YJS5JWHf2ucAGdTUTLvC3y8HRs_gfkb5GxsuJZxUfhzFAQc42ooNRXpFwsBrzV-4wSUN3Qo2lAybiH/s400/031.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5701891627547100370" /></a><br /><br />Oh, and I should mention that my mom has officially moved. I'm a little sad that she is gone, but glad that she will be back in the summer. Only 4 or so months until we will be able to see her. Grayson will miss her, I think. I'm excited for her. I think this will be such a great adventure for her. It was a lot of fun. My mom bought all of us Cafe Rio, and we watched Hitch. Love that movie. We had fun laughing and chatting with each other. And yes, I ate my whole Cafe Rio salad. YUM.<br /><br />This morning, I had plans to get together with my friend Sam and her kids. We got together and traded off watching the kids so that we could both work out. It was really nice! She came and dropped the kids off and went running for 30 minutes, and when she got back I left and ran for 30 minutes also. I took Hank, and we ran around the pond and did a few hard hills. It was nice to run without the kids. I feel like I can push myself harder without them.<br /><br />Grayson had such a fun time playing with Dillon. He always loves it. And Bella had fun playing with Hazel. Pretty good morning if you ask me! <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq11Mcjq5GfMJ0jRZqd7rW5trs6T4sEH6iAK45Yg0wApjZXu3m_ETBZTuf1vsFQdlBP-ABCxDLiGZlRqL_f7-n7TPCdYF93sv7nidToNSBsxmamVm1mV2XEmCNokwedRUpD8_1/s1600/031.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq11Mcjq5GfMJ0jRZqd7rW5trs6T4sEH6iAK45Yg0wApjZXu3m_ETBZTuf1vsFQdlBP-ABCxDLiGZlRqL_f7-n7TPCdYF93sv7nidToNSBsxmamVm1mV2XEmCNokwedRUpD8_1/s400/031.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696714344707255602" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhA8WQ4NTomMKqDq_J74eU74AyPcK1oXPeMrZrILsez30WUOQeEwsqWDHNwnyRi1otFpKp0L7yHZnv_ZoP_LwKNDuWwvhSsYqINUAIvCx7kwVB73uO48IC0zAhu7rOwfPH1zXUw/s1600/030.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhA8WQ4NTomMKqDq_J74eU74AyPcK1oXPeMrZrILsez30WUOQeEwsqWDHNwnyRi1otFpKp0L7yHZnv_ZoP_LwKNDuWwvhSsYqINUAIvCx7kwVB73uO48IC0zAhu7rOwfPH1zXUw/s400/030.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696714336990560066" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirU3P1tIpPdJtlx_-7vixzw1m-G9ugruhCWEkaT4VxkwmfAJQgQUaSwUpfo28132ATaumEmElyZoMltZayQtaAQkwY8-4m5S-p6HuPArlNFaLwAIfZxjKTJnTIfRiMS_7ICqze/s1600/028.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 224px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirU3P1tIpPdJtlx_-7vixzw1m-G9ugruhCWEkaT4VxkwmfAJQgQUaSwUpfo28132ATaumEmElyZoMltZayQtaAQkwY8-4m5S-p6HuPArlNFaLwAIfZxjKTJnTIfRiMS_7ICqze/s400/028.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696714331483892066" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfjzT-9EecvcOd7uinYrXEnSYIgsG5NB_C4lhgFxjQ9QgZTUSO7aZxBSh8_Ch_g_allI1_6jqj7sOFWoviyVdQ-hZXmwbHgN9kHTEMphUoHdBwU2Sgragz6KTIZfszLfmcOGxb/s1600/027.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfjzT-9EecvcOd7uinYrXEnSYIgsG5NB_C4lhgFxjQ9QgZTUSO7aZxBSh8_Ch_g_allI1_6jqj7sOFWoviyVdQ-hZXmwbHgN9kHTEMphUoHdBwU2Sgragz6KTIZfszLfmcOGxb/s400/027.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696714319550451634" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy9ZqSgsm9V__Vk5CucYCO5UjItG5ulEMBCWWgX_v2IyRjHXCchl24DGXAWMhsCZswrfWDubsiHqOcvoTG342MZhW5DdQ153XDVX6Q0K4Pjt5D9C3IJ3AJm3CA9PWg1G6g2dW6/s1600/026.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy9ZqSgsm9V__Vk5CucYCO5UjItG5ulEMBCWWgX_v2IyRjHXCchl24DGXAWMhsCZswrfWDubsiHqOcvoTG342MZhW5DdQ153XDVX6Q0K4Pjt5D9C3IJ3AJm3CA9PWg1G6g2dW6/s400/026.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696714308168543474" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN6-JLFi_9Bmy7n1k7VjZS3AqMwNxrrf9rMeOZTGySfeUwMO5y1_eN4aTFG_Nrk8k_DzNMtRPODEA2TJr2cU7WI6lShDc9-ceBT1pqD6CJMLB7mm3vxDyws-T1kYhSF_l3Bote/s1600/032.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN6-JLFi_9Bmy7n1k7VjZS3AqMwNxrrf9rMeOZTGySfeUwMO5y1_eN4aTFG_Nrk8k_DzNMtRPODEA2TJr2cU7WI6lShDc9-ceBT1pqD6CJMLB7mm3vxDyws-T1kYhSF_l3Bote/s400/032.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696714765210238146" /></a>Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-78012272464564339252012-01-08T17:33:00.000-08:002012-01-08T19:02:39.072-08:00My Little SunbeamToday is Sunday, and Garrett let me sleep in until ten. It was so nice! When I got up, I went out of our bedroom and into Grayson's. Garrett, Grayson and Bella were in there playing. Grayson had some music on (music from an electric keyboard) and was dancing around the room. <br /><br />I got in the shower to start getting ready for church. I was drying my hair when Grayson came into the bathroom. I looked up at him (my hair was falling in front of my face), and Grayson ran out of the room exclaiming that I was a witch! Garrett was playing along with him and gave Grayson his sword to come get me. We kind of played for a while like that. I would hide and scare him, and he would search for me with his sword. He also hid from me in his tent--Bella joined him. We had fun. <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIpcCQBxUGbRR2cx8Z1aoeeOZrsagqRxsZwD8-7-_TKv23-V08HgUlYG_3Av1bg77l2snrP00NF7tOt8x4FfMNyS-1jYmPhbBeMM9PJ42GgniqMgrl9b78LVTX3Uk_qPk6oBVp/s1600/102.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 260px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIpcCQBxUGbRR2cx8Z1aoeeOZrsagqRxsZwD8-7-_TKv23-V08HgUlYG_3Av1bg77l2snrP00NF7tOt8x4FfMNyS-1jYmPhbBeMM9PJ42GgniqMgrl9b78LVTX3Uk_qPk6oBVp/s400/102.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695461990755170002" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhweGgGui_BReYT5wqSeIEIh2MyAKl9xPfIno9zfQgnzm4BY9kQxk_hyphenhyphenu_mO0gAoelDixQxkhPGcx1qGmYZTbRUt_S83VmG6E2mXzBe5RDaTpOzQcjRKXLNOMCWJkrKf4OvgDDS/s1600/070.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhweGgGui_BReYT5wqSeIEIh2MyAKl9xPfIno9zfQgnzm4BY9kQxk_hyphenhyphenu_mO0gAoelDixQxkhPGcx1qGmYZTbRUt_S83VmG6E2mXzBe5RDaTpOzQcjRKXLNOMCWJkrKf4OvgDDS/s400/070.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695455031645837986" /></a><br /><br />Grayson is officially a sunbeam in primary. I can't believe it! He just barely turned three in December, so he is a young sunbeam. I took a picture of him after church...today was his second week in primary, and it did not go very well. <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTJqnfXYssJGV6gcVBpve1BRR3f16ha6Yb-OOTI0FUUf38wq1Thx0xszhk3Zh7Ciosba6l5x17QdA4_C6W2BDfOhY_TcbzYLSyON2Z15XCWZpzu6QiubrPdSi54VN8ubmf-TZ9/s1600/071.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTJqnfXYssJGV6gcVBpve1BRR3f16ha6Yb-OOTI0FUUf38wq1Thx0xszhk3Zh7Ciosba6l5x17QdA4_C6W2BDfOhY_TcbzYLSyON2Z15XCWZpzu6QiubrPdSi54VN8ubmf-TZ9/s400/071.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695443434109423634" /></a><br /><br />Sacrament meeting was a little hectic. We have 1 o'clock church now which is right in the middle of nap time. Bella was tired and fussy, and Grayson was just busy. After sacrament meeting, I took Grayson to the bathroom (he wore underwear to church), and he peed AND pooped! I was feeling good about things because I wasn't nervous about him having an accident in primary.<br /><br />I play the piano in primary, and it has made it hard for Grayson to sit with his class. We got to primary, and he refused to sit with his class. He came and sat with me at the piano. We got through the opening exercises just fine. Right in the middle of singing time, I started smelling something stinky. Grayson pooped his pants. I had someone else come play for me, and we went into the bathroom. I had to strip down his pants and clean him up as best I could because I couldn't just leave at that point. I should have just put him in a diaper before church...<br /><br />We went back into primary, and I tried one more time to get him to sit with his class. He wouldn't. When it was time for the sunbeams to leave, I had to go with Grayson into his class. Unfortunately he was the only sunbeam there today, so that didn't help. His teachers talked to him for a minute about various things (Lightening McQueen, Toy Story, fire trucks, etc.) and gave him a treat. Since he was the only sunbeam there we thought it would just be better for him to go into nursery. I tried to take him into nursery and he threw a fit. Basically I had Grayson with me the whole time. I wouldn't mind it so much except that it's kind of hard with my calling. I just hope that it gets better. It gets better right?<br /><br />Anyway, that's basically how primary is going.Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17934622.post-4158445969667780482012-01-06T22:24:00.000-08:002012-01-06T22:49:16.860-08:00Honey BeeTuesday was a pretty insignificant day. We got up and had breakfast, and Grayson watched Toy Story and played with Hank. Poor Hank takes a beating from Grayson all the time. I think Grayson loves having the playmate around. He loves to chase him out in the yard and tackle him. It makes me a little nervous that Hank will snap at him, but so far he has been really good about it. I guess it is good...it exercises both of them.<br /><br />I had us all lay down for a nap a little earlier than usual. I worked Monday night and hadn't slept at all when I got home, and I was exhausted. Usually the kids go down for a nap around at around one in the afternoon. I couldn't make it that far though. It hit eleven, and I was really needing some kind of sleep! We took a good two hour nap. When we woke up, I saw a text from Garrett saying his dad wanted to come and get Grayson for the afternoon. I was so grateful! SO grateful! Since Grayson had already napped, he wouldn't take another for the rest of the day. But Bella would. <br /><br />Chad came and got Grayson, and I had to wait another hour and a half before we could lay down again. I was in the kitchen with Bella getting her something to eat with the radio on. Blake Shelton's song "Honey Bee" came on. I love that song! I got Bella out of her chair and we danced. Loved that moment. It's nice every once in a while to get some alone time with one child or the other. <br /><br />Bella was super smiley and giggly, so I snapped some shots of her. Seriously can't get enough of the little thing. <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEietql0pfOoBgNGl07soDdVykFqXc8DRk6GVhK1Ax0g8y1CwQIPqMGZW3YkbZUGSt0XZwe_y9vQJb9D0hYAHUKyib1d_FJVXDjJzSbNEo8eI_yqkp_pn1nMM8HAFtRUNxqB9kPX/s1600/Bella+4.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 224px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEietql0pfOoBgNGl07soDdVykFqXc8DRk6GVhK1Ax0g8y1CwQIPqMGZW3YkbZUGSt0XZwe_y9vQJb9D0hYAHUKyib1d_FJVXDjJzSbNEo8eI_yqkp_pn1nMM8HAFtRUNxqB9kPX/s400/Bella+4.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694776635245075506" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgh3rQ4MCKRpMHljpTsAKJ1rzf51TPz2The6YShXYPGNoaXGC-yCH92BDQrNr7paZvx5qzx4xzb45nAnIhoyA4qu7OoSqHAmEl_3HKsujFC8oCJlUQv1NRWvNRO_rZStfOV4jr_/s1600/Bella+3.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgh3rQ4MCKRpMHljpTsAKJ1rzf51TPz2The6YShXYPGNoaXGC-yCH92BDQrNr7paZvx5qzx4xzb45nAnIhoyA4qu7OoSqHAmEl_3HKsujFC8oCJlUQv1NRWvNRO_rZStfOV4jr_/s400/Bella+3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694776629123308530" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3_gYlulkfAsNL8P6WvyP6h5ExQDBPNTNeLLLhyphenhyphenF1Nvn-q2O98hz0CfzXowRdhOQm4bYeYrXQ9HIGUBrVWzUE8tBJLD-RtCc-hHcoN52nEcFxmHoewIAHiQWc9tXVXdLX3HLPa/s1600/Bella+2.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3_gYlulkfAsNL8P6WvyP6h5ExQDBPNTNeLLLhyphenhyphenF1Nvn-q2O98hz0CfzXowRdhOQm4bYeYrXQ9HIGUBrVWzUE8tBJLD-RtCc-hHcoN52nEcFxmHoewIAHiQWc9tXVXdLX3HLPa/s400/Bella+2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694776618746659250" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuJmcpiPtO3GzXTmkSaub-fjDWpwYGQRAHfWtjGhYyqKL-Ph2TG-o9NReUJ_cpMOOCsngmA_MG0v7z7Y7KoQprbBzDsy58Hx_5VeO6ZsR2qcbFU7UpWFIp24v_v9P-712-1jcV/s1600/Bella+1.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuJmcpiPtO3GzXTmkSaub-fjDWpwYGQRAHfWtjGhYyqKL-Ph2TG-o9NReUJ_cpMOOCsngmA_MG0v7z7Y7KoQprbBzDsy58Hx_5VeO6ZsR2qcbFU7UpWFIp24v_v9P-712-1jcV/s400/Bella+1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694776615395131858" /></a><br /><br />We took a nap, and Bella thankfully slept for another two hours. We woke up kind of late, around five. We got up, and I got dinner ready. Garrett and Grayson got home, and we ate and got kids ready for bed. <br /><br />I can't even remember what we did that night. Probably went straight to bed. I was exhausted. Just another day at our house.<br /><br />One extra little tidbit: It kind of cracked me up the other day... I was driving with the kids in the car to a friends house. We passed a house that had a big sleigh in the front yard with a blown up Santa in it. The Santa had deflated a little bit and was basically lying down in the sleigh. Grayson noticed this and piped up from the back seat, "MOM!, Santa's dead!" It made me giggle.Christahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17757187854929532181noreply@blogger.com1
